Candy Maker - Manufacturing Plant
LAMMES CANDIES SINCE 1885, Inc.is an Austin original!!!We are a 5th generation, family-owned, hometown company making quality candy. Lammes Candies is hiring production workers to wrap and package our candies. The full-time position includes on-the-job training and consists of weighing, wrapping, and packing candies into a variety of packages. The hours are 6:45 to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Weekends are possible during the holiday season. This position needs someone who is flexible and can stay longer if needed.
Job requirements:
- basic math skills;
- ability to use and read a scale;
- ability to record production and tracking reports;
- able to follow direction and take directions from others;
- able to work with both hands, with dexterity and speed;
- must be able to stand for more than 7 hours at a time;
- able to bend, kneel, and lift up to 30 pounds;
- pay close attention to detail with accuracy and precision;
- dependability and excellent attendance; and
- ability to work in a group environment or independently.

Material Handler
We are looking for a Material Handler to help organize our storage areas and maintain our inventory at our manufacturing plant. Your job will be to move unfished goods around the plant, provide raw materials to the production lines, and to bulk pack finished product for storage at the warehouse. Material Handlers are integral plant workers. As a Material Handler, you’ll monitor inventory and communicate any shortages. We are looking for someone that is capable of driving a box truck 2-4 hours a week as well. This would be moving finished goods from the plant to the warehouse and then back. Some physical strength is required since you may often need to lift packages by hand. If you’re reliable and fast on your feet, we’d like to meet you.
Responsibilities
- Check incoming deliveries to make sure all ordered material meets quality standards
- Load and unload packages
- Organize stock in the most efficient way using forklifts, pallets, cranes etc.
- Pull material to fulfil orders properly
- Wrap orders and place them on trucks for delivery
- Monitor inventory levels and suggest new orders when needed
- Document orders, materials and any stock movements
Skills
- Proven experience as a Material Handler, Warehouse Associate or similar position
- Familiarity with voice picking systems or RF devices is a plus
- Experience in using warehouse equipment (e.g. forklifts, pallet jacks)
- Strong communication skills
- Dexterity and attention to detail
- Organizational skills
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job
- License to operate forklifts
- Availability to occasionally work overtime
- High school diploma

LAMMES CANDIES SINCE 1885, Inc.is an Austin original!!! We are a 5th generation, family-owned, hometown company making and selling quality candy. We are seeking a floating sales associates for our retail stores throughout the Austin/Round Rock area. Flexibility (day, evening, and weekend shifts required), dependability, friendliness, and GREAT customer service skills are a must. This job can be full time (30+ hours per week) or part time. Full time has benefits including health, PTO, dental, vision, life, etc.
