What does the "Shipping Date" refer to at checkout?
This is the day you are requesting us to ship your order. This is not the requested delivery date. On some occasions we may need to delay your shipping date due to weather concerns or inventory. If your order is of a time-sensitive nature, we always recommend calling our friendly Austin-based team at (512) 310-1885 to make all appropriate arrangements.
How does Lammes ship?
All orders placed on lammes.com and over the phone are processed from 8 AM to 5 PM CST Monday - Friday (except holidays). All orders ship from Austin, TX. We take great precaution in ensuring that your order arrives in excellent condition. Orders that are placed after 8 AM CST and contain Pralines, Kisses, Divinity, Carmelitos, or Peanut Brittle will be processed and shipped the following day, unless a later shipping date is requested. Most orders that are placed after 8 AM CST Wednesday - Friday and contain chocolates or mints will be shipped the following Monday. Please see the section below titled "Warm Weather Shipping" for more information.
Orders containing a street address within the continental USA are shipped via UPS Ground unless expedited shipping is selected by the customer at checkout. Shipping addresses that are automatically a 1-2 day ship point will not see expedited shipping options at checkout. UPS picks up and delivers Monday - Friday (except holidays ). UPS does not deliver on Saturday or Sunday.
All P.O.Boxes, Alaska, Hawaii, APO, & FPO addresses are shipped USPS. A $3 surcharge is added to all USPS orders (to avoid this provide a street address). NO surcharge on APO or FPO addresses.
Warm Weather Shipping
Most orders received 8 AM CST Wednesday - Friday that contain chocolates or mint candies will ship the following Monday. During this timeframe, we are not shipping chocolates or mints internationally or to PO Box/APO addresses.
From May 13 through October, all chocolates and mints are shipped with warm weather packaging at an additional $5 per shipping address. This is to ensure the candy does not melt in transit. This packaging includes a reusable ice pack, insulation, and may require expedited delivery. Currently we are unable to ship chocolates and mint candies outside the 48 contiguous states, or to P.O. Boxes.
If the shipping destination falls within a 1-2 day ship point, an order containing chocolates or mints are shipped UPS Ground. If the destination is a 3+ day ship point, 2nd Day Air is required. Note: Some states are split across different shipping zones. See the UPS and USPS Transit Time chart below to find your ship points.

I'm trying to check out but there are no shipping methods available. What do I do?
Tip #1: Ensure that you are not trying to send a chocolate or mint product internationally or to a P.O. Box or APO address. During the warm-weather season we cannot ship meltable candies via USPS. You'll need to provide a street address within the 48 contiguous states OR ship one of our 5 non-meltable candies. We recommend our Texas Chewie Pecan Pralines!
Tip #2: Double check your shipping address city, state, and zip code. Our system runs an address verification process and will not retrieve shipping methods if the address was entered incorrectly.
Address Accuracy & Delivery
For orders shipped within the continental USA, there will be a re-ship fee for packages returned to Lammes Candies due to incorrect or incomplete mailing addresses. If a gift is returned, our customer support team will contact the customer via email or phone for an updated shipping address, or the customer may elect to have the candy shipped to their home address for the same fee. Lammes Candies cannot accept responsibility or issue a refund for packages refused by the recipient or lost by the shipping carrier. Lammes Candies is happy to ship our Pralines, Kisses, Divinity, Carmelitos, and Peanut Brittle overseas, but please note that we cannot estimate delivery dates or anticipate customs charges. For orders shipped outside the continental USA, there will be a fee assessed for packages returned to Lammes Candies due to incorrect or incomplete mailing addresses. The fee will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. Please note that Lammes Candies tracks all international orders using the USPS tracking number provided to the customer; we are not given additional information from the carrier. If you suspect that the order has been lost, please call us at (512) 310-1885 or email with the following information:
- Order ID
- First and last name
- Description of the delivery issue
Our team will file a claim with USPS, but we cannot issue a refund for errors made by the carrier. Further action to be determined on a case-by-case basis.
Making changes to your order
Note: Once orders are in Fulfillment within our shipping department we are unable to make any changes to your order, including cancellation.
If your order is scheduled for shipment more than 3 days out, we can make the following changes:
- Recipient name
- Shipping date
- Message greeting
- Shipping address, in these cases only:
a. Adding/editing an apartment, suite, or building number
b. Adding a company name
c. Changing the street address
Changes we cannot make after an order has been placed:
- Removing a product from the order
- Adding a product to the order
- Upgrading or downgrading the shipping method
- Modifying a shipping address state to Texas if the original address was outside of Texas
- Modifying a shipping address state from Texas to another state
