Tradition is integral to Lammes Candies and our legacy, which we have crafted for over 140 years. When Lammes Candies was founded generations before us, the goal was to create delicious candy for Texans. Over the years, each generation of the family that has taken over the business has kept true to this idea, to create delicious candy. However, we quickly learned that not just Texans wanted the candy we were producing in our Austin candy shop, but other Americans and even people abroad in various countries around the world loved our candy. We began shipping our candy so even more customers could enjoy the decadent taste of Lammes Candies local ingredients. Typically, with the expansion of a business, the company can sometimes lose focus on the main goal. However, we are steadfast in our goal to make delicious candy while incorporating our commitment to using the highest quality products and Texas-sourced ingredients, while always staying true to the traditions of those who came before us.

Tradition isn’t just given; it is created. In staying true to what our family created back in 1885, we strive to use as many regional products as possible to honor the legacy and ensure we are using the highest quality ingredients in all our products. We do this by partnering with local companies, so we know where our products are sourced. We take this one step further and, as often as possible, partner with local Texas companies to get the finest sourced Texas pecans that we use in so many of our products, from our decadent Texas Longhorns to our famous Chewie Pecan Pralines. 

The flavor profiles that we have perfected over the years pay homage to our family and our Texas roots. A great deal of our products feature pecans, and this is by no accident. Pecans are a Southern traditional staple that can be found in many recipes. Lammes Candies wanted to stay true to highlighting local ingredients in the confections that we created, which is why you will find pecans in many of our products. Not only will you find pecans, but many of our recipes are passed down from the generations before us. We take pride in our Austin candy kitchen for the traditional candy recipes we create, like pillowy soft Divinity that contains the perfect pecan crunch, or our Chewie Pecan Pralines that put our own spin on a beloved classic. 

As Lammes Candies continues to grow and evolve, we will stay true to our commitment to create delicious candy, using high quality products, and Texas sourced ingredients.
